Hi Guys,

We are looking for volunteers to do timing duty at the Time Trial on Thursday evenings!

Ive indicated the five vacant spots on the attachment (2018) and you’ll see from this that it’s only three or four times a year that you’re required to attend. Click here to view

Some members have been doing this duty for many years and we need to see some new faces!

 Thanks,

 Ken Hamilton

 Club Captain

What’s new?

Happy New Year to you and your families. We trust you had a wonderful festive season and managed to sneak in a few runs here and there. 2018 has started off with a bang and Wanderers Athletics Club has some very exciting announcements to make.

We would like to welcome some new faces to the committee this year. Stepping up as chairman is Sam Bieske. Sam has big shoes to fill as the legendary Dylan Burgess takes a backseat due to the arrival of his beautiful daughter Zoe, congratulations Dylan and Martine! We would also like to welcome Justin Powrie as he takes on the role of social media.

The first social of the year was a huge success with over 300 runners at time trial. Members were able to collect their running kit and many of the CGA licenses were handed out to both old and new members. If you were unable to attend and still wish to collect your license number and shirt, please pop down to time trial with your filled out CGA license form and Hilde will be there to help you out.

A massive hit has been the new clock we had installed for time trial. We hope this benefits you as the runner and you can see your times clearly whilst sprinting the final few metres!

Walking news… there is training with Thabiso on a Friday morning on the track from 5 am to 6 am. All welcome!
