Compliments of the season to you and best wishes to you and your families for 2021.
As a result of President Ramaphosa’s message to the nation we have no choice other than to immediately stop sales of alcohol and to follow the extended hours of curfew. We have also looked at the practical issues involved in remaining open and we have decided to close Chariots from Wednesday 30 December until Tuesday 05 January 2021. It will be open from 11-00am until 7-00pm on 05 January and we will reassess the position as we go along. No alcohol will be served until we have a new set of rules from the Government.
The sporting sections will continue operating as before which means they will continue to implement all Health & Safety protocols and they will need to observe the new hours of curfew which are from 9pm to 6am. No one will be given access to the Club’s property during the hours when the curfew is in place.
As in previous years the Club will be closed completely on New Year’s day, 1 January 2021, and no sport will operate on that day.
We appreciate how frustrating these new restrictions will be for many of you but these are difficult and challenging times for us all and if the pandemic can be contained and pushed back it will be to the benefit of all of us.
