The Wanderers Club has engaged with events company Circa Hospitality to provide an additional banqueting and conferencing facility which will cater for a variety of events for large numbers of guests in an upmarket venue adjacent to the Wanderers Cricket Stadium in Corlett Drive, known as The Deck @ Wanderers.
The permanent state of the art marquee structure is situated between two Rugby fields and includes food and beverage facilities, a back-up generator, roof drapery, ablutions, airconditioning and a stage, with the flexibility to customise the venue according to a client’s requirements. There is adequate parking and security and it can comfortably accommodate close to 2000 visitors.
The Deck @ Wanderers offers almost 2000 square meters of floor space. The Wanderers Club is the founding body of the first rugby club in South Africa and has been in existence for over 130 years. The Deck @ Wanderers not only complements the Club’s existing facilities but its proximity to the Wanderers Cricket Stadium adds an additional dimension to the location as it can be utilised for functions linked to the numerous games and events held at the cricket stadium.
Circa Hospitality will liaise with SilvaSale Events and Catering, the Club’s preferred food and beverage service provider, to host functions ranging from auctions, exhibitions, team building, year-end parties and conferences, company results presentations, sports award dinners, to personal events such as weddings, anniversaries and birthday parties.
The venue has full kitchen facilities with experienced chefs able to custom design any menu of choice but clients will also have the option of choosing their own caterers. No event will be too small or too large to be accommodated in the Marquee as the space can be condensed or expanded to meet the client’s specific requirements. There will be a wide selection of furniture, décor and audio visual equipment to provide variety and a personal touch to any function at competitive pricing.
