The Wanderers Squash Club Championship tournament will take place from 1-29 October.

One of the highlights of October will be the annual Chamber Exiles vs Wanderers Challenge match, to be held on World Squash Day, Saturday the 12th of October at The Wanderers Squash Club.  The cup was lost to Chamber last year, but we are hoping to take it back this year with the match being held on home ground!

The annual Masters Inter‑Provincial Tournament (IPT) took place in Pretoria this year from 6‑10 September.  Central Gauteng fielded six teams to compete with 58 teams from around the country.  The teams were grouped into age sections of 35+, 45+ and 55+ with the Wanderers fielding four “old‑timers” into the latter group, consisting of Keith Willows, Chris Hughes, Kevin Eborall and Shamus Donoghue.  The results will not be announced at this point……!!

The 2019 Central Gauteng League season finished in September.  The Wanderers Squash Club entered seven teams in the Men’s League, succeeding in coming first in the 4th and 8th leagues.  Well done to the 4th league team of Johnny Fiandeiro, JP Strydom, Mike Sissison and Niki Louw, and the 8th league team of Allan Lai, Ben van Rensburg, Clive Lacy, Kyaran Pillay and Lionel Slowe.

Five teams were entered into the Masters League with each team managing to hold their own to retain their positions for next year.

Court Maintenance and Upkeep

A glass door has been fitted to the back wall of Court 2 in an effort to improve game visibility.  If positive feedback is received from the members, this modification may be considered in the future for the remaining courts.
