If you’d like to enter the tournament, please forward your name to Phil or respond to the notice which will be sent out shortly.

Results of the annual Wanderers / Chamber Challenge

wanderers club Squash News, October 2021 24wanderers club Squash News, October 2021 25We had an excellent turnout once again with 16 players from each side playing

two rounds of three games.

For the second year in a row, we were humiliated with a convincing win by Chamber Exiles, 55 points to 41.

We’ll put it down to the fact that Chamber fielded a much stronger team this year, whereas The Wanderers top players were reserving their strength to thrash their opponents in the Joburg League (!!).

Despite the loss, everybody enjoyed the party and braai afterwards while, of course, maintaining suitable social distance in the outdoor verandah.

Wanderers Squash Club AGM – Monday 15 November

Part of the fun of being a Wanderers Squash Club member is that you are entitled to attend the Annual General Meeting of the club, which this year is taking place at the Spinners bar on Monday 15 November at 5:30 pm.

Please support your club and volunteer to join the committee who carry out an extremely important job in keeping the club running. They are kept motivated by the enthusiasm of the members and the benefits inherent in being a committee member…. (What?  Oh, I’m sorry, I can’t elaborate on those just now as there’s not enough space in this newsletter).
