Our cricket section have two cricket fields
Our practice times for seniors are every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 16h30 onwards. Matches are held on weekends.
Juniors practice times are every Saturday from 08h00 to 11h00.
No, members are required to provide their own kit both senior and junior. Coaches do provide cricket balls.

About The Cricket Club
The Wanderers Club in Johannesburg is known throughout the world as a premier sporting venue and home to one of South Africa’s top cricket clubs. The Wanderers Cricket Club, affiliated to the Central Gauteng Lions Cricket Board (CGLCB), currently has 7 senior teams (4 Sunday, 3 Saturday), a newly formed Women’s team and a thriving junior cricket section. All Cricket Club members are required to be members of the Wanderers main club.

Junior Cricket
Wanderers Junior Cricket would like to invite you to come join us every Saturday from 8.00 to 11.00 for a morning of learning and improving your cricket. Do you have the drive to be the next South African cricketer, a Kagiso Rabada or Faf du Plessis? A Mignon du Preez or Shabnim Ismail? Then come and join us.
From 6 to 14 years old with qualified coaches.
Womens Cricket
The club has a unique history and heritage, is playing an active role in showcasing women’s cricket at club level – attracting a new generation of women and girls to the sport and promote youth participation in cricket in the province. The Wanderers Cricket Club has established a women’s cricket team and is looking for players, aged 15 and above, experienced cricketers and novices. In their first season, the team achieved a creditable 4th place in Gauteng Cricket Board’s Women’s Premier League. Practices take place at the Wanderers Club every Wednesday from 16.30. The Club is playing a role in showcasing women’s cricket at an international club level, which is attracting a new generation of women and girls to the sport and promote youth participation in cricket in the Gauteng province.

Facilities
The Wanderers Cricket Club boasts probably the best club facilities, both on and off the field, in South Africa.
These include:
Fields
2 beautiful cricket ovals with excellent pitches, solid sight screens and magnificent outfields. Both fields have been used for first-class cricket over the years.
Turf Nets
12 full-length turf nets with sightscreens located on the main oval
AstroTurf Nets
4 floodlight Astro turf nets used predominantly for junior coaching.
Change Rooms
Both ovals have access to closely situated change rooms with suitable shower and ablution facilities.
Pub
The Spinners Sports Bar overlooks the main oval and is utilised by many of the club sports.
