2022 South African Masters Snooker Championship and Billiards Championships
The 2022 South African Masters, Billiards and Grand Masters was held at The Wanderers Snooker Club from the 19-23 July 2022.
Players from around the country played in the three tournaments that ran concurrently, in the SA Billiards Championship it was a strong showing for The Wanderers Club as we had three players in the semi-finals, Graeme Britten (WSC) beating Rafique Limbada (WSC) to book his spot in the final and Munier Cassim beating Aadil Mohamed.
In a highly competitive replay of lasts years’ billiards final Graeme successfully defended his title by beating Munier Cassim (Gauteng North) 2-1 in a 200 Up format to win the 2022 SA Billiards Champion title.

In the inaugural SA Grand Masters Championship Graeme Britten beat Herman Van Berkel of KZN 5-2 to win the first SA Grand Masters Snooker Championship Title.

In the SA Masters category, The Wanderers Club was well represented again with Ryan George playing the defending 2021 Masters Champion Rafique Limbada and Elvin Harris playing Charl Jonck.
In the semi-final between Ryan and Rafique both players played extremely well with the match going the full distance, Rafique making a 50 break in the last frame to seal the win.
The second semi-final saw Elvin Harris up against an in-form Charl Jonck, Current SA Snooker Champion and SA Pairs Champion, Pro Snooker No 1 Seed and winner of a record 7 consecutive ProSnooker tournaments. Charl booking his spot in the final by beating Elvin 5-1.
The final played out of a best of 9 saw some excellent safety play and break building with Charl Jonck beating Rafique Limbada 5-0, making a century break of 105 in the 5th frame to claim his first Masters Title and add a third to his current SA Title tally.
Pro Snooker Qualifiers and Tournaments
Pro Snooker will be hosting the HOW CUP on the 01-02 October 2022 in Johannesburg at The Wanderers Club. The weekend will see the top 8 Pro Snooker seeds play 8 Qualifiers for the HOW CUP Trophy. All matches will be live streamed and from the quarterfinal rounds, aired live on DSTV
