The 2020 Central Gauteng Snooker Association League fixtures start on the 2nd of March 2020. Our Premier League fixtures will be split up between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and will be played on 8 tables at a time. There will be 24 teams competing in the Premier division this year and it promises to be a very competitive season.

This year there appears to be more interest than we have had in quite some time and as a result, there will also be 6 teams in the A-League and they will utilize 4 tables on a Thursday evening. Congratulations to the hard-working committee members of Central Gauteng Snooker for the success they have had in promoting the game in our province and for running an exceptionally successful association.

CGSA kicked of the season with the “2020 Johannesburg & Districts” tournament which started on 17 February 2020. The tournament saw some high-class snooker from a number of players and a number of decent breaks were knocked in along the way. In the first of the semi-finals Fakhrie Gierdien played very well and defeated Adeel Umair, Elvin Harris claimed a victory against Graeme Britten in the second semi-final match. The final saw some excellent snooker from both players, but in the end it was Fakhrie who was just too strong and ended up winning 5-3. Well done Fakhrie on winning this title yet again.
