The long-awaited reopening of the Chariots Bar is, at last, a reality from Friday 27 November 2020. At the moment there is a flurry of activity in Chariots with putting final touches to the décor, receiving stock and training of staff. The new service provider, Gavin Houlston and his wife Kelly have been hard at work the last few months managing the renovation project. They have retained and refurbished some aspects of the Chariots bar and introduced new touches to give a better offering to our members and make them feel at home. There will be some of the familiar faces welcoming you back as well as some new ones. Although not the whole range of offers will be available immediately and will be phased in later, what you will definitely be provided with tomorrow is a good meal, your favourite pizzas and any cold glass of your choice. Members will still be able to get a 10% discount if they pay with their prefunded smartcard but it is no longer viable to give the discount on presentation of the membership card.
There will not be any temperature scanning at the entrance at Gate 1 and the different sub-clubs and tenants will be responsible to follow the Covid-19 protocols themselves. Members going to Chariots will be required to fill in the register at Reception and the wearing of face masks is compulsory. Social distancing and sanitising will be observed but face masks can be removed whilst eating or drinking. Due to curfew regulations, orders for drinks cannot be taken after 22.30.
We are looking forward to welcoming you, our members back to the new Chariots Bar on Friday 27 November from 16.00.
