Two 16-year olds score double hundreds
In the space of a week, two 16-years olds posted scores of over 200 for the Wanderers CC.
President’s B v EP OttomanMatt a pupil at St John’s College and Piero at King Edwards School, have been playing for the Wanderers for 3 seasons. Matt’s innings was part of a 297 opening partnership with school teammate, Josh Brown.
An all-round performance
Traci Brest 137 & 5/16
Women’s 1st XI v Dobsonville
In the ultimate all-round performance, Traci Brest scored a 100 and took 5 wickets for the Wanderers Women’s 1st XI in a Premier League game against Dobsonville.
Traci, who has only been playing cricket for just over two years, was rewarded for her efforts with selection to the Central Gauteng Lions team.
She was joined in the Lions team by Wanderers teammate and Women’s Protea, Kirstie Thomson.
Wanderers Women on Mix 93.8 FM
Representatives of the Wanderers Women’s CC, Shannon Landman-Kriel and Maddy Wolmarans, participated in Mix FM’s Thursday evening sports show, hosted by Steve Smith.
Shannon was able to demonstrate her unrivalled knowledge of women’s cricket in South Africa, whilst Maddy spoke passionately about the Wanderers Women’s T10 tournament, which has now had two editions.

Wanderers Club Bottom Cricket Oval, from 16.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All players over 14 years old are eligible to play in the senior teams.
