Supporting the Cricket Community
The #feedacricketer initiative was introduced by Veterans Cricket Association of South Africa (VCASA) and, in conjunction with the Local is Lekker App and Cool Guys Distribution, provides a portal for clubs and individuals throughout the world to support cricketers in need in the country. Contributions have been received from as far as Australia and England.

Having delivered food parcels to several clubs in the Western Cape, the initiative looked to expand into Gauteng. The Wanderers cricket section was able to nominate Golden Bells Cricket Club in Ivory Park, a club we have assisted in the past, as the first recipient.

Thanks to Jackie Mafa at Golden Bells CC and Shannon Landman-Kriel from Wanderers for making it possible.
