Another month has flown by, and we are now almost halfway through our league season, with results proving, that Wanderers is one of the top Bowls Clubs. The Mens and Ladies sides are slowly, but purposefully climbing to the top of their logs.

The Saturday Clinics are picking up momentum, and we have 9 active newbies, learning the skilful art of bowls. It is encouraging to have a facility that allows you to learn to play without feeling intimidated! I encourage all members of Wanderers, to give it a try! You might surprise yourself and love it! Saturday mornings from 10 am until 11.30am!

The recent Men’s JBA Trips tournament held during October and November has seen Wanderers lift the trophy in triumph. Congratulations to:-

Duanne Abrahams, Phil Brest and Martin Lewis!

Exceptionally well-done gentlemen, it was a really tough tournament and you rose to the challenge. We are very very proud of you!

Our Saturday afternoon tab games are hotting up, there is a wonderful prize for our bowler that has the most ‘touchers’ this season so far! Can’t wait for the announcement!

January sees the beginning of the Annual Tower Novices Tournament, an incredible tournament that showcases Gauteng’s Novice bowlers and their potential. Be sure to catch all the action, starting on Saturday the 12th of January at 8.30am.

Our end of year breakfast is almost upon us and I will be sure to show you some fabulous pics in the next edition,

In the meanwhile, keep bowling…………….

Tons of love
