Covid has kept some folk from not coming back to bowls however, one must not forget that getting out a little in the fresh air and the Vitamin D we receive from playing under the sun is beneficial too. We have had super turnouts on a number of Tab sessions which is great to see.

The Committee is working hard on making ours a great bowls club and membership is a huge part of this. We are officially on a membership drive – whether it be brand new or experienced bowlers, we are ready and able to offer lessons to those who require this. Your assistance in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

League starts in January and we hope to do very well. Your participation and doing some hard work in so far as practising goes would go a long way to achieving this goal.
Please make sure Brian Myers has your name if you would like to play League this season. Duanne Abrahams, who as you are aware, is our Club Captain, will soon set out his expectations and programme for this.

We are working on having new League Shirts this year with a number of sponsors, so that is something to look forward to.

Our Wednesday League members are doing well so far in their league. Good luck to our chaps going forward.

The Tower Novices begins in January, and we require your assistance as umpires and admin folk. Please come forward and give your names to Richard Bucher if you are able to assist.

We welcome our new members and those still to join from Old Eds. Please make every effort to make them feel comfortable and welcome among us.

Your Wanderers Card is most important to have with you when visiting the Club as this is the ONLY way to gain access to the Club – effective immediately. The philosophy behind this is to ensure that visitors are converted to membership as we want members to gain from what they contribute to the Club. It also ensures our safety in that only members may enter the Club with their Club Card, and visitors may enter if accompanied by a member or if they have prior permission to do so.

Please remember to sanitise, social distance and mask up.
