Please ensure that you have your Wanderers membership card with you at all times when at the club – and please ensure that you have renewed your membership.

Currently, only members are permitted to play. It goes without saying that membership cards must not be lent, borrowed or be in the possession of anyone other than the member himself/herself.  This is an issue of ethics and honesty. Checks have been made and will continue to be made.

Wanderers badminton times are given below, and in keeping with the Wanderers policy, this is applicable strictly to member cardholders who are paid up to date.

Mondays:       18h30 until 22h00 High-Performance players coached by David Calvert

Tuesdays:       19h00 until 22h00 Social play for members

Wednesdays: 18h30 until 22h00  Junior members coached by Les Brazier in tandem with High-Performance coaching with David Calvert

Thursdays:     No badminton as gymnastics use the hall until 22h00

Fridays:          18h30 until 22h00 Social badminton for members

Saturdays:      14h30 until 22h00 Social badminton for members

Sundays:         07h00 until 14h00 Veterans training and social badminton for members

     14h00 until 16h00 Junior training and coaching with Les Brazier

               16h00 until 18h00 Exclusive use of the hall for senior players – “Golden Oldies”

     18h00 until 22h00 Social badminton for members.

Efforts are being made to establish a league with matches to be played on Sunday mornings from 09h00 until 12h00. You will be updated on progress.

Members wishing to improve playing skills and who wish to enter tournaments may contact David Calvert on 083 263 8212.

Members with youngsters who wish to be trained may contact Les Brazier on 083 626 3576.

Les may also be contacted with enquiries regarding the “Golden Oldies”, a group for senior players, 80% of whom participate in the provincial teams for the Grand Masters, Silver, Golden and Diamond Eagles.

Covid -19

Members, please remember to sanitise on entry to the hall and to fill in the register. The requirement remains that once in the hall to sit at least 1 metre apart when not playing. You are welcome to bring your own sanitiser. It is compulsory to sanitise before going on court and when leaving the court.
