What’s new?
BREAKING NEWS… WAC is moving forward and has a new app! We are very excited to announce that we have introduced an app for our club. On this app, you will see we have all the news, results, training programmes, upcoming runs, news from our elites, our sponsors and how to contact us etc. We will soon be introducing a gallery where we can share pictures as well as some tried and tested running routes. A very big thank you must go to Glynn who has worked tirelessly to bring this app to life. *As we are still in the roll-out stage, please let us know what is/isn’t working. We are so looking forward to hearing your feedback and taking our running club even further!
For those of you who aren’t quite as technologically gifted as Glynn… here are a couple of pics to help you download and try the app out for yourself. Follow these steps…
We would like to congratulate all the WAC runners who took part in the OMTOM this last month. The whole day was superb with some great comradery at the tent and some wonderful running. We haven’t had such great results in a long time and this year we had 4 Silver medallists (Sub 4 hours) as well as some great results spread across the 21km and the 56km. We would also like to congratulate Mark Hoffman for running his 25th Two Oceans Ultra this year- what a wonderful achievement. You have made all of us at WAC so proud!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped out at the JP Morgan Corporate challenge held earlier on this month. We could never have done it without you all and we appreciate all the effort you put in to make it a success!

Pirates 21k Reverse Run
The training run is used as a fundraiser to get the Pirates development runners to Comrades. We ask each participant for a minimum donation of R50 with the proceeds net of the costs of the water points going towards the development fund.
The training run takes place on 13th May and starts at Pirates at 7am. There is plenty of parking at Pirates for people to leave their cars when they go run. The run is strictly a training run with no official time, no marshals, no road closures and no medals. Runners & walkers participate at their own risk.
In order to cater for the water points, we do need an indication of those people running and thus it is critical that they register. They will be given the option to either pay via EFT or to pay cash on the day.
